Cable trays

To enable the designers to route cable trays in the 3D model, the project administrator must first prepare the required cable tray definitions in the project environment.

A cable tray definition specifies, for example, which cable tray specifications and interference classes can be used, whether out-of-spec parts are allowed, and which attributes the routed cable trays should have.

Cable tray definitions can be managed through various locations, including the following:

• File > Environment > Systems and Lines

• File > Environment > All Library and Project > [project] > Cable Trays

• The Model Tree pane of Plant Modeller—see Managing tree items

The project environment can have one or several Systems for cable trays.
