Mirror Beam

You can mirror a beam across a plane that is located either at the center of the beam part or at its default routing reference point.

By center point

You can mirror a beam part across a horizontal or vertical mirror plane that is located at the center of the beam part.

Do the following:

  1. On the Structural tab, in the Beam group, select Mirror Beam > By center point.

  2. Select the beam part that you want to mirror and press Enter.

  3. The beam part shows the mirror plane. You can press N to switch between vertical and horizontal mirror plane.

  4. Press Enter to accept the mirror plane.

  5. You can continue to mirror other beams in the same way or press Esc to exit the tool.

By routing point

You can mirror a beam part across a plane that is located at the default routing reference point of the beam part, even if you selected a different routing reference point when routing the beam.

Do the following:

  1. On the Structural tab, in the Beam group, select Mirror Beam > By routing point.

  2. Select the beam part that you want to mirror and press Enter.

  3. You can continue to mirror other beam parts in the same way or press Esc to exit the tool.
