Collision test cases

The status of a test case can be:

  • No coll data. – Collision detection has not been run yet.

  • Queued for collision detection. – Collision detection has been run but the user has not browsed the results yet.

  • Found xx collisions. – Collision detection has been run and the user has browsed the results.

  • No collisions. – Collision detection has been run and there were no collisions.

To do something with an existing test case, select it first in the list and then select a command from the menu.

You can perform the following actions with collision test cases:

  • Edit – Opens a dialog where you can change the parameters of the currently selected test case.

  • Edit Attributes – Opens a dialog where you can change the attributes of the selected test case.

  • Run Collision Detector – Starts collision detector session. You can still work with Plant Modeller while collision detector is running. Notice that you can have only one collision detector session at a time but you can run several cases. Also you can't touch a test case when it is being tested by collision detector.

  • Browse Collision Results – Starts collision browser to show collisions, contacts and clearance violations in the currently selected test case.

  • Create New Test from Results – A new test is created and existing contacts, collisions and clearance violations from the old case are included to the new test.

  • New – Opens a dialog that prompts data for a new test case.
