Systems for containment

When a containment is imported from either NAPA or CADMATIC Hull, it is automatically assigned to a system, based on fixed definitions. There is a predefined system name and system ID for each 3D space type.

When containment and related systems are generated manually, it is recommended to apply the same principle of one dedicated system for each different type of 3D space. Select the colors so that it is easy to distinguish, for example, a compartment from a block or a block from a super block. The default transparency level can be set in File > Options > User Settings > 3D Visualization > Transparency.

Reserve some range of system ID numbers for the systems of 3D spaces. In the example below, the range starting from ID number 500 is reserved for the systems of 3D spaces.
