Define pipelines
Now you will define two pipelines belonging to the system 01. Later, you assign some objects to the pipelines and insert pipeline labels.
You can define pipelines in two different ways:
-
Select Insert > Pipelines > Define or Insert > Pipelines > Define & Assign.
-
Select File > Environment > Systems and Lines.
Use the first option for this exercise.
Do the following:
-
Select Insert > Pipelines > Define & Assign.
-
Enter 01-001 as the name of the pipeline.
The default name for new pipeline is according to the system code (defined in system) and the suffix
The id string must be unique among all pipelines. The program suggests the next free pipeline number by increasing the latest used pipeline number in this system by one. You could enter any proper name for the pipeline as well. Once you have specified the name, the program creates a new database record for the pipeline and then opens it for editing.
-
For Spec1, select DIN_H2A.
You only have to define the specification at this point, and you can edit the other data later.
-
Click OK. The program remains in the pipeline definition mode.
-
Repeat steps 2 through 4 to define a pipeline named 01-002.
-
Click Cancel to exit the defining mode.
You have now added two pipelines to system 01.
