Catalog part reports
You can make following types of reports:
- Part report. The part report contains only general information of the selected parts.
- Size report. The size report describes each size of each selected part.
The type of the report is determined from the name of the output record defined in the Format control for catalog parts. If the name of the record is SIZE, a size report is generated, otherwise part report is generated.
The current date is printed to a page relative field DATE.
How to make a catalog part report
You can make reports from catalog parts following way:
- Use the Catalog Parts object browser to select the catalog parts you want to include in the report.
- From the menu, click Report.
- Give name for the output file. The default folder is your workspace (.wsp). To change the folder, on the Output file field, right-click, and then click File Tool. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the report.
- Select the format control. This specifies the layout of the report. To change the format file, on the Format file field, right-click, and then click the correct format control.
- Click Generate Report.
- To browse the report, click Browse Report and to print it, click Print Report.
- To finish, click Done.
Format control for catalog parts
Format control files for part reports can contain following output elements defined in a catalog part:
PC | Partcode of the part. |
MC | Material. |
RT | Rating. |
ST | Standard. |
KW | Keyword. |
DT | The name of the dimension table. |
DF | The format for the dimensional description. |
CO | The connection code. |
DE | Description. |
MT | Modification time in format dd.mm.yy hh:mm. |
<tag> | Additional info fields related to the part (attributes). |
Format control files for size reports must contain a definition for the size record. This record can have header fields into which general information of the part is output. Names for these fields are the same as elements in a part record. You can have following output elements in a size report:
