Part Sizes

In [library or project] > Components > Catalog Parts > Part Sizes you can define attributes whose values are not common to all the sizes of a given Catalog Part but depend on the size of the part.

If both Catalog Part and Part Size have the same attribute, the value of the Part Size attribute is used. Accordingly, you can define the most common value of an attribute in the Catalog Part level and any size-specific overrides in the Part Size level.

You can use Part Size attributes, for example, to define order codes, unit prices, or extra materials.

Extra materials for part size

You can use the attribute "Catalog part size extra material" to assign one or more extra materials to a Part Size. The attribute value is a space-separated list of part IDs and amounts. The amount value can be a quantity, length, area, and so on, depending on the part ID.

Format:

<part id>:<amount><space><part id>:<amount><space>...<part id>:<amount>
