Cable penetrations

A model object that is used for a cable penetration must have the following properties:

Object type is "Equipment".
There are at least three nodes, defined in this order:
- Two nodes of main type "Cable tray connection".
- One node of main type "Hole".
Node directions are not checked.

Penetration equipment with sealing module

Define the parameters NrOpenings, OpeningH, and OpeningW for the penetration equipment geometry. OpeningH and OpeningW are the packing space dimensions of one opening.

Linking sealing modules to cable penetrations

Linking and unlinking of sealing modules is done in the COS object browser. When equipment with correct parameters is selected, the context menu shows the command Link sealing modules or Unlink sealing modules.

Fill rate calculation for penetration with sealing modules

The fill rate that CADMATIC calculates for a penetration with sealing modules can be a few percentages different from the fill rate calculated by the software of the penetration manufacturer. This difference does not affect cable routing and the result depends on the packing method. The manufacturer software should be used to provide final drawings and documents for production. A listing that shows all cables with information from penetration can be created and used to enter data to the penetration manufacturer software.
