Installation

CADMATIC server and design applications can be installed in various scenarios, such as:

• Stand-alone installation – Install everything on a single computer.

• Server installation – Install server components—license server, COS server, and Microsoft SQL Server used by P&ID—and optionally design applications, for shared use by workstations in the same network.

• Workstation installation – Install design applications locally or run them from a network server.

Note: In some cases, the Microsoft Windows feature User Account Control (UAC) might prevent installation to a network drive. This problem occurs because UAC treats members of the administrator group as standard users.
