Installation

CADMATIC server and design applications can be installed in different kinds of scenarios, such as:

• Stand-alone installation with everything on the same computer.

• Server installation for sharing the license server, COS server, and Microsoft SQL Server (used by P&ID) in the network.

• Workstation installation for running the design applications, either locally or from a network server.

Note: In some cases, the Microsoft Windows feature User Account Control (UAC) might prevent installing to a network drive. This problem occurs because UAC treats members of the administrator group as standard users.
