Template curves

In the shape menu of a section, you can select one of the listed template curves and then specify the dimension parameters for the selected shape type. After the insertion, you cannot edit the values of the predefined parameters, but you can freely modify the shape by moving the control points, changing straight line segments into curves, and so on.

You might want to use this method for defining the shape of the primitive itself (Plate, Sweep, Surface of Revolution) or the shape of a hole in the primitive.

Rectangle, Rounded Rectangle

Rectangles have the parameters Width and Height. The origin is located at the center of the rectangle.

Rounded rectangles have the parameters Width, Height, and Rounding (radius). The origin is located at the center of the rectangle.

Circle, Hexagon, Octagon

Circles have the parameter Diameter. The origin is located at the center of the circle.

Hexagons and Octagons have the parameter Width. The origin is located at the center of the shape.

Clamp, U-Shape

Clamps have the parameters TotalWidth, InnerDiam, Thickness, and FixingGap.

U-shapes have the parameters Width, Height, BtmThickn and SideThickn.

Ovals

Horizontal ovals have the parameters LargeRadius, SmallRadius, and Height. The origin is located at the center of the oval.

Vertical ovals have the parameters LargeRadius, SmallRadius, and Width. The origin is located at the center of the oval.
