Group

On the Pipe Spools tab, in the Group group, you can manage the checkout status of all objects that relate to the active main document and the checkout status of specific pipe spools that you select from the Spool List dialog.

Check Out

You must check out the pipe spool objects that you want to modify. If the objects are checked out to another designer, you must first ask that designer to check in the objects.

In a distributed project, if online replication is in use and objects are checked in to the master COS server, a checkout of pipe spool objects automatically requests ownership to be transferred to your site's replica server.

  • Check Out > Main document related objects – Checks out all objects and groups that relate to the active main document, but not the document itself.
  • Check Out > Selected spools – Checks out the objects and groups of the spools that are selected in the Spool List dialog.

Check In

You can check in the pipe spool objects that you are not planning to modify.

  • Check In > Main document related objects – Checks in all objects and groups that relate to the active main document, but not the document itself.
  • Check In > Selected spools – Checks in the objects and groups of the spools that are selected in the Spool List dialog.

Relinquish Ownership

If you are working in a distributed project, use Relinquish Ownership to release the ownership of modified and new objects from your site's replica server to the master COS server.

  • Relinquish Ownership > Main document related objects – Releases the ownership of all objects and groups that relate to the active main document, but not the ownership of the document itself.
  • Relinquish Ownership > Selected spools – Releases the ownership of the objects and groups of the spools that are selected in the Spool List dialog.
