CADMATIC Script Language

The CADMATIC Plant/Outfitting software includes three main applications: P&ID, Plant Modeller, and Piping Isometrics & Spools. The supporting modules, such as Database, Datamatic, and 2D drafting, provide common utilities for the main applications. Like any CAD system, the power of Plant/Outfitting can be harnessed to a fuller extent by adjusting it to the specific needs of the user organization. This can be done with scripts that automate the repetitive parts of the design process, with formatting tools that produce special types of documents, and by linking to other CAD systems. In Plant/Outfitting, the solution is to use the CADMATIC script programming language, which has the necessary hooks to the underlying CAD software.
