About the head-up display (HUD)
The term head-up display, or HUD, is commonly used to refer to any transparent display that presents data without requiring you to look away from the current viewpoint. In Plant Modeller, the same concept is used in the HUD messaging system that provides information about objects as you move the cursor across the design.
There are two main categories:
- A HUD message can provide information about an object or notify about a modeling error.
- A HUD prompt displays the response to an active command.
In the user interface settings, you can select whether to show HUD messages and prompts. See User Settings.
