Multiply selected objects to an array along the circumference of a circle.

Array objects in a full circle

Multiply objects in a full circle with equal distances apart from one another.

Do the following:

  1. Select Edit > Array > Circular array (circle).

  2. Select the object that you want to array. You can select several objects.

  3. Confirm the selection by pressing Enter.

  4. Indicate the basepoint for the array that represents the centerpoint of the circle.

  5. Define the number of copies:

    • If you want to have a certain number of copies, enter the number of copies on the command line. Note that the program does not count the original objects as a copy, so if you want a total of six objects in the array, enter 5 as the number of copies.

    • If you want to place the copies a certain distance apart from each other, do the following:

      1. Enter the keyword Distance on the command line.

      2. Enter the distance between the objects that you want.

      3. Indicate the radius for the circle whose circumference the program uses to calculate the number of the copies.

  6. Select whether the program rotates the objects by entering the keyword Yes or No on the command line.

The program copies the objects and draws them in a circle.

Array objects in a defined angle

Multiply objects to fit inside a certain angle.

Do the following:

  1. Select Edit > Array > Circular array (angle).

  7. Enter the array angle.

If you enter a positive value, the program draws the copies counter-clockwise from the original object.

If you enter a negative value, the program draws the copies clockwise from the original object.

The program copies the objects and fits them inside the angle that you entered.
