Insert symbols according to the symbol name

Insert symbols to the drawing.

Do the following:

  1. Select Draw > Symbol > Insert symbol.

  2. On the command line, enter the name of the symbol. The program searches for symbols first from the drawing and then from the symbol directory. If you want to insert a symbol from a specific file location, enter the entire file path.

  3. Indicate the insertion point for the symbol.

    Change the location of the insertion point on the symbol by pressing Tab until the crosshair is in the point that you want. Note that not all symbols have multiple insertion points.

    You can change the angle of the symbol by pressing F8.

  4. Indicate or enter the scale factors, or accept the default scale factor by pressing Enter.

  5. Indicate or enter the angle, or accept the default angle by pressing Enter.

Furthermore, you can insert symbols at certain angles:

  • Insert symbol in 0 angle – Insert a symbol in a 1:1 scale and in a 0 degree angle.

  • Insert symbol in 90 degree angle – Insert a symbol in a 1:1 scale and in a 90 degree angle.
