Draw Mtext

Annotate tab> Text group > Mtext, MTEXT

An Mtext object contains several rows of text in a single object.

By default, the Mtext object uses the current text settings, but you can format the font and appearance at any point of the text. Mtext elements do not support indents or tables. You can use bold and italics when you are using a TrueType font.

Do the following:

  1. Indicate the first corner of the text frame.

  2. Indicate the second corner. The MText dialog opens.

  3. Enter the text in the text field.

  4. Edit the properties of the text in the dialog.

    • Character – Select the font and font size and edit the text.

    • Text – Select the text style, alignment, width, and angle.

    • Line spacing – Select the line spacing.

    • Properties – Select the layer, color, and line width.

    • Background – Select text background color and whether the background is shown.

    • Show borders – Select whether text borders are shown or not.

  5. When you have entered and edited the text, click OK.

The program draws the text in the selected location.

The height of the Mtext element adjusts to the contents of the element. You can edit the width of the element by grip editing or in the MText dialog.
