Define 3D equivalences
Layout tab > 3D and view group > 3D functions menu > 3D symbol functions menu > Define 3D equivalences
With this function, you can define which 3D symbol matches which 2D symbol in a drawing. When the drawing is generated into 3D, the equivalent 3D symbols will be inserted above the 2D symbols according to the elevation info.
Function can also be launched by selecting symbol(s) to edit and selecting Symbols 3D-equivalence from context menu.
If multiple symbols are selected, they should be the same.
Do the following:
-
Select equivalent 3D symbol from menu, from drawing or from file by clicking corresponding button. Default equivalence can be restored by clicking Return default.
-
If you want to use your selections by default in future, select Set as default. If selected, equivalence will be stored to settings file (so3dsymbol.ini), otherwise it will be stored into 2D symbols attribute ($3DSYMBOL$). Information about 3D symbol can be set to all similar 2D-symbols in drawing by selecting Set to each similar 2D-symbol in drawing.
-
Accept your selection by clicking OK.
