Mark element's elevation in drawing

Layout tab > Markings group > Elevation

With this function, you can mark the elevation of an object on the drawing.

Do the following:

  1. Select the object whose elevation data you want to mark on the drawing. Depending on the object type and information, the program starts a function to insert a basic marking or a more comprehensive marking function.

    • Basic marking:

      1. Indicate the position of the elevation data reference line on the drawing.

      2. Mark the elevation of other objects by repeating steps 1–2.

      3. Stop marking the elevations by pressing Esc.

    • Comprehensive marking:

      The References dialog opens.

      1. In the Sources section, select the fields whose information you want to include in the marking.

      2. Select the prefixes that you want to include.

      3. Select whether the program marks the values from the top, center, or bottom of the object.

      4. Select the text dimension style or edit the style by clicking Edit.

      5. Select the text angle.

      6. Change the order of the texts in the Selected list by either clicking the arrow buttons or dragging the texts to where you want to place them. The Preview field displays the format of the reference text.

      7. Select the separator character.

      8. If you want to use the reference settings again, click New and enter a name for the setting.

      9. If you have previously saved a reference setting that you want to use, select the setting in the Saved settings field and click Load settings.

      10. Click OK.

      11. Select the object whose elevation data you want to mark on the drawing.

      12. Indicate the placement of the reference line and the text.

      13. Mark the elevation of other objects of the same type by selecting the object and placing the reference line and text.

      14. Stop marking the elevations by clicking Esc.

The function draws the elevation markings on the drawing.
