Modify Equipment Connection
Tools > More Tools > Modify Equipment Connection
Connect or disconnect equipment to/from the view plane. Shift of the working plane can be defined for connected equipment.
Connected equipment: The system will use the plane level of the view as the origin point of the equipment, taking into account the possible offset defined as the shift of working plane. If the plane of the view changes because the view properties, reference surface, grid, or a related HiLTop parameter is changed, the equipment is repositioned to the new plane. This way, the connected equipment always follows the view plane.
Do the following:
-
Select either Connected equipments or Disconnected equipments, or both. This determines which type of equipment you can select for modification.
-
Indicate the equipment that you want to connect or disconnect in the graphical window, and/or use the selection options in the dialog to select and exclude equipment.
The current connection status of the selected equipment is shown at the top of the drop-down menu (Connect, Disconnect). If the equipment selection contains both connected and disconnected equipment, No change is shown as the status.
-
Select from the drop-down menu the type of modification to apply on the selected equipment.
-
Connect – Connect the selected equipment to the view plane.
-
Disconnect – Disconnect selected equipment from the view plane.
-
No Change – Do not change the connection status.
-
-
To place the connected equipment slightly in front of or behind the current view plane, select Shift of working plane and specify the shift in depth.
-
Click OK to apply the changes.
