Shell Hole

Insert a hole in a shell plate by using a closed hull line.

Note: Shell holes cannot be generated across or connecting shell plate boundaries when using the closed hull line method.

Select a closed line to be used as the contour of a shell hole. A dialog with possible shell plate candidates may appear. In that case, select the desired shell plate from the list.

If there is a side view active where the area is at both port side (PS) and starboard (SB), it may be difficult to select the correct hull line if the line is symmetrical. In that case, limit the drawing area to SB or PS only, or to go to a top or frame view.
