Panel Numbering System

Set how panel numbers are generated when using the Production > Logistics > Auto numbering function in the 3D-Contek application.

  • Whole ship – Each part is given a unique panel name, or each part in the same plane is given the same panel name.
  • Area – Each part within the same plane name is given the same panel name, according to their grid definition.

Part Code As Panel Prefix

Enable or disable using the part code as a prefix in the panel name.

  • When disabled, all types of profiles are considered to be of the same type in the numbering process. The first profile regardless of its type gets the starting partnumber, the second (also regardless of the type) the following number, and so on.
  • When enabled, the first profile with a specific part code gets the starting partnumber, and the second one gets the same part code (this can be a profile of a different type) and the following number, and so on. However, the first profile with a different part code will get the starting partnumber, and the second profile with that same particular part code the following number.

Part Code As Partnumber Prefix

Enable or disable using the part code as a prefix in the part number.

  • When disabled, all types of profiles are considered to be of the same type in the numbering process. The first profile regardless of its type gets the starting partnumber, and the second profile (also regardless of the type) gets the following partnumber, and so on.
  • When enabled, the first profile with a specific part code gets the starting partnumber, and the second one gets the same part code (this can be a profile of a different type) and the following partnumber, and so on. However, the first profile with a different part code will get the starting partnumber, and the second profile with that same particular part code the following number.

Part Code As Subpanel Prefix

Enable this setting to add the part code as a prefix to the subpanel name.

Note: The part codes can be specified with the Logistics > Prefixes And Part Codes function.

Subpanel Maximum Length

Defines the maximum length for a subpanel for several part types in the Logistics > Prefixes And Part Codes function.

Subpanel Maximum Breadth

Defines the maximum breadth for a subpanel for several part types in the Logistics > Prefixes And Part Codes function.

Count Mirrored Profiles

When enabled, profiles that are mirrored will be counted as if they were not mirrored. This setting applies to the Profile list and Profile sketch functions in the 3D-Contek application.

  • This setting overrides the Production > Profile List > Settings > Grouping > Treat symm. profile non-symm setting.

No Compression Part Number Start

Defines the first number of the part number range that is not compressed when the Compress option is used with the Automatic Part Numbering function.

No Compression Part Number End

Defines the last number of the part number range that is not compressed when the Compress option is used with the Automatic Part Numbering function.

Note: When the Compress option is used in automatic part numbering, all selected parts are affected, also parts that were previously manually numbered. Setting a part number range that is not compressed does not prevent manually numbered parts from being auto-numbered.
