Logistics During Part Labeling

When set to Enabled (default), the logistics menu is displayed when a part numbering function is used.

Selectable Items

Define which parts in cross section are by default selectable during part labeling. In case a part in cross section cannot be selected by default, the keyboard shortcut c forces the selection process to select the nearest part in cross section.

Select from the following values (multiple values can be selected):

  • (Shell) Plates in cross section
  • Brackets in cross section
  • Profiles (and shellframes) in cross section
  • Face plates in cross section
  • Flange in cross section

Dimension Part Label Orientation

Define the orientation when placing a dimension part label.

  • Standard – The dimension is presented in the standard way, that is, horizontal for (approximately) horizontal parts, and vertical for (approximately) vertical parts. The exact opposite method is used for the slanted part of a bracket.
  • Non-standard – The dimension is presented in a non-standard way, that is, vertical for (approximately) horizontal parts, and horizontal for (approximately) vertical parts. The exact opposite method is used for the slanted part of a bracket.
  • Horizontal – Dimensions are always presented horizontally.

Symbol Part Label Orientation

Define the orientation when placing a symbol part label.

  • Standard – The symbol is presented in the standard way, that is, horizontal for (approximately) horizontal parts, and vertical for (approximately) vertical parts. The exact opposite method is used for the slanted part of a bracket.
  • Non-standard – The symbol is presented in a non-standard way, that is, vertical for (approximately) horizontal parts, and horizontal for (approximately) vertical parts. The exact opposite method is used for the slanted part of a bracket.
  • Horizontal – Symbols are always presented horizontally.

Note: This setting is applicable only for symbol part labels that are added to a profile using a line or a box, and for brackets.

Update tolerance, including dim.

Define the selection tolerance for part labels including a dimension, to be used when construction is updated.

If the original construction of a part label is missing, the update function will try to locate the correct construction part.

The value must be bigger than 0.

Update tolerance, excluding dim.

Define the selection tolerance for part labels without a dimension, to be used when construction is updated.

If the original construction of a part label is missing, the update function will try to locate the correct construction part.

The resulting tolerance is scale-dependent, and calculated as: <value> * scale / 25.

The value must be bigger than 0.

Max. orthogonal deviation of part

Define the arrow direction (in degrees), dependent on the angle of the indicated part.

When a dimension part label is placed, and the angle of the indicated part deviates from an orthogonal direction less than the value set here, the arrow part is shown in the other orthogonal direction. Otherwise it is shown perpendicular to the indicated part.

The valid value ranges from 0 to 45 degrees.

Show Empty Lines

Enable or disable the showing of empty lines in part label text. Set to Enabled by default.

It may be useful to set this setting to Disabled in cases where the label text contains or more empty lines.
