Partial Shift

Edit > Manipulate > Partial Shift

Shift a part of the selected items.

You can shift parts of selected items interactively, by dragging a selection box, or by indicating the from-points (starting point) and the to-point (destination) before indicating the shifting area. If you start this function and there are no items selected, select the item(s) you want to shift.

1. Indicate shifting area by a box, or indicate the from point:
• Drag a box around (a part of) the selected items for interactive shifting. OR
• indicate a point from where the shifting is done. Press Enter to use the current mouse position as the from point.
2. Indicate distance and angle: After indicating the from point, indicate the destination point. The distance and the angle between the first point and the second point define the shifting vector. You can also enter a shifting value as e200 or s400, and so on.
3. Indicate shifting area by a box: You have now defined the shifting vector by indicating two points. Next, drag a box around the item(s) you want to shift.
