Unit System

Sets the unit system to metric or imperial.

For more information on how to enter and display imperial unit system values, refer to the following:

Frame Numbering System

Select Standard or U.S.

For negative frame numbering, select U.S.. This will result in positive frame numbers along the centre line.

Frame Abbreviation

Sets the abbreviation shown in views for frames. Only alphabetic characters can be used. The abbreviation cannot be the same as the abbreviation set for any other grid line type.

The default abbreviation is FR.

Breadth Gridline Abbreviation

Sets the abbreviation that is shown in views for breadth grid lines. Only alphabetic characters can be used. The abbreviation cannot be the same as the abbreviation set for any other grid line type.

The default abbreviation is B.

When Centre Line Gridline Abbreviation and Port Gridline Abbreviation are defined, this abbreviation is used for the starboard side grid lines.

Centre Line Gridline Abbreviation

Sets the abbreviation that is shown in views for the centre grid line. This applies to grid lines that are part of the drawing properties. Only alphabetic characters can be used. The abbreviation cannot be the same as the abbreviation set for any other grid line type.

By default no abbreviation is set, and the abbreviation defined in Breadth Gridline Abbreviation is used for the centre grid line.

Tip: By defining Centre Line Gridline Abbreviation and Port Gridline Abbreviation you can distinguish between the center line, port side, and starboard side grid lines in views. In that case Breadth Gridline Abbreviation is used for the starboard side grid lines. If you define Centre Line Gridline Abbreviation as CL, and Port Gridline Abbreviation as PS, you may want to change the value of Breadth Gridline Abbreviation to SB.

Port Gridline Abbreviation

Sets the abbreviation that is shown in views for grid lines at the port side. This applies to grid lines that are part of the drawing properties. If no abbreviation is set, the abbreviation defined in Breadth Gridline Abbreviation is used.

By default no abbreviation is set, and the abbreviation defined in Breadth Gridline Abbreviation is used for the port side grid line.

Tip: By defining Centre Line Gridline Abbreviation and Port Gridline Abbreviation you can distinguish between the center line, port side, and starboard side grid lines in views. In that case Breadth Gridline Abbreviation is used for the starboard side grid lines. Height Gridline Abbreviation

Sets the abbreviation that is shown in views for height grid lines. Only alphabetic characters can be used. The abbreviation cannot be the same as the abbreviation set for any other grid line type.

The default abbreviation is H.

Slanted Gridline Abbreviation

Sets the abbreviation that can be used to indicate a slanted grid line. Only alphabetic characters can be used. The abbreviation cannot be the same as the abbreviation set for any other grid line type.

The default abbreviation is S.

Positive Width Direction

Defines which side is used as positive direction for width grid, starboard side or port side.

The Show negative indication setting (see below) defines if a minus sign for negative values is shown.

Note: This setting is applicable only for the Logistics > Auto Numbering function in the 3D-Contek application when numbering panels using grid definitions.
