Job Code Characters

Logistics > Process And Job Codes > Job Code Characters

Define the characters used in job codes for different types of construction. These settings are valid only when Use Characters is selected in Settings > Process/Job Code Method.

The system will add the characters defined for a construction type if the corresponding construction is present. If several construction types are present, characters for all those types will be added one after another. The order of the construction types' characters is defined with the process and job order settings.

Note: The number of characters in job codes is limited to a maximum of 16.

Knuckle

Define the character string used in job codes used for knuckling. The default character is K.

Bent

Define the character string used in job codes for bending. The default character is B.

Flange

Define the character string used in job codes for flanging. The default character is F.

Corrugated

Define the character string used in job code for corrugation. The default character is C.

Bevel

Define the character string used in job codes for beveling. The default character is MB.

Taper

Define the character string used in job codes for tapering. The default character is T.

Face Plate

Define the character string in job codes to indicate that the plate has a face plate. The default character is FP.

Asymmetrical

Define the character string in job codes to indicate that the face plate on the plate should be placed asymmetrically on the plate. The default character is A.

Bent - Shell Plate

Define the character string used in job codes to indicate that the curvature type of the shell plate is conical. The default character is C1.

Bent And Knuckle – Shell Plate

Define the character used in job codes to indicate that the curvature type of the shell plate is elliptic paraboloid. The default character is C2.

Bent,Knuckle,Flange – Shell Plate

Define the character string used in job codes to indicate that the curvature type of the shell plate is hyperbolic paraboloid. The default character is C3.

Type

Define the character string used in job codes to indicate that the part type is plate. The default character is PL.

Type – Profile

Define the character string used in job codes to indicate that the part type is profile. The default character is PR.

Note: Composite profiles, and regular profiles set to be coded as a composite profile in Production > Plate Cutting Data > Profiles > Code Profiles And Shell Frames, are treated as plates in coding. Therefore these profiles will get the job code defined in Type instead of the code defined in Type – profile.
