Shell Frame Markings

When disabled (default), shell frames will not be given markings on construction parts. Enable this setting to have the markings added.

Note: Shell frames can also be marked by enabling Production > Plate Cutting Data > Marking > Profile End Markings, by defining a Minimum Body Height For Marking. If you enable both shell frame marking and profile end marking, shell frames equal or bigger than the set Minimum Body Height For Marking are marked using the profile end marking system, and shell frames smaller then the set minimum are marked with the shell frame marking system.

Marking Text Shellframe

Set the text for a marking line from a shellframe. In addition to the fields defined in the logistical layout, the following fields can be used:

  • Part Code – Defines that the construction type specific part code is used. This code is specified in the file %ncgnorms%\material.ins by the 'prpa' line.
  • ObjectNumber – The object number of the project.
  • AttRecNr – The attribute record number of the part. The number is 0 if the part has no attribute record.
  • PlateRecNr – The plate record number of the part, or that of its parent plate-like part if the part has no plate record itself.
  • WBD Branch 1..9 – The Work Breakdown name for a specific level.

Also, user defined texts or environment variables (between % signs) can be added.
