Face Plate Knuckle Or Radius
Define if a face plate is handled as a knuckle or as a radius.
-
If the face plate radius is smaller than the set value, the face plate is handled as a knuckle.
-
If the face plate radius is equal or larger than the set value, the face plate is handled as a radius.
Note: The value set here is for the neutral line and axis, not the plate's bend radius.
The default value is 10 mm.
Face Plate Radius Information
When set to Enabled (default), the face plate radius information is shown in the profile sketch and DXF file.
When set to Disabled, no face plate radius information is shown in a profile sketch or DXF file.
Face Plate Bending Text
Define the text that is used to indicate the part of the face plate that has to be bent. The default value is BEND.
Note that this setting affects profile sketches only, not DXF files. DXF output is controlled by the dxfrobot.ind robot layout file.
Face Plate Vector Amplitude
For bent face plates, the system calculates multiple bending vectors which define the bending direction at different positions of the face plate. When the value of this setting is positive, the system converts these bending vectors into one or more arcs by approximation. In the profile sketch the arcs are presented as bending lines. The bending radius, the start and end points of the bending, and the bending side and angle are shown for each bending line.
The system calculates the arcs based on the following settings: Maximum Face Plate Vector Length, Maximum Vector Length Difference, Minimum Face Plate Vector Angle and Maximum Face Plate Radius.
When set to zero or less, the system uses the bending vectors directly when generating the bending lines, without converting the vectors to arcs.
The setting value represents the amplitude of the bending curve over a length of 100 mm.
The default value is 0.8 mm. It is recommended to either keep the default value, or change it to zero.
See Face Plate Bending Information for more information on the presentation of bending information of face plates in profile sketches.
Maximum Face Plate Vector Length
For bent face plates. This setting is valid only if Face Plate Vector Amplitude is set to a positive value.
The value sets the maximum length for bending vectors to be considered when the system converts the vectors to arcs. Longer vectors than the set value are not taken into account. The bending radius is not calculated at the positions of such vectors.
The default value is 200 mm. It should be optimal for most cases, and it is recommended to keep the default value.
Maximum Vector Length Difference
For bent face plates. This setting is valid only if Face Plate Vector Amplitude is set to a positive value.
The value sets the maximum allowed length difference between two consecutive bending vectors to be considered when the system converts the vectors to arcs. When the length difference between two vectors is bigger than the set value, the vectors are not taken into account when calculating the arcs.
The default value is 20 mm. It should be optimal for most cases, and it is recommended to keep the default value.
Minimum Face Plate Vector Angle
For bent face plates. This setting is valid only if Face Plate Vector Amplitude is set to a positive value.
The value sets the minimum angle between two consecutive bending vectors to be considered when the system converts the vectors to arcs. When the angle between two vectors is bigger that the set value, the vectors are not taken into account when calculating the arcs.
The default value is 175 degrees. It should be optimal for most cases, and it is recommended to keep the default value. The value must not exceed 180 degrees.
Maximum Face Plate Radius
For bent face plates. This setting is valid only if Face Plate Vector Amplitude is set to a positive value.
The value sets the maximum allowed bending radius for the bending lines which are based on vectors-to-arcs conversion. Bending lines that would get a bending radius longer than the set value are not be presented in the profile sketch.
The default value is 50000 mm. If production can handle a bending radius that long, it is recommended to keep the default value. if necessary, the value can be set to be smaller.
