Reports and Lists

It is possible to generate various types of reports and lists which contain production data like dimensions, weights, descriptions, positions, identifications, manufacturing processes, and so on. Different reports and lists can have their own specific layout and language.

The description of a part should enable the user to quickly identify the place of this part in the ship. This means that the length (expressed as frame number), breadth, and height should be clearly specified in the description. The orientation of the part and any relationships with other parts should also be clear.

Part selection is important, as only selected construction will be calculated and included in the report or list. The previous selection is always the default selection. A new selection must be made if this selection is not up-to-date any more.

Any logistical item can be used to make a selection. The report creation command of the System Management application, Production > Reports > Report Layout, allows the creation of this selection dialog, which is fully compatible with the report standard described.
