Site Preparations

Make sure that the installation environment meets the Cadmatic system requirements, available at https://docs.cadmatic.com/systemrequirements.

Obtain the following from Cadmatic:

• The installation package for the release you intend to install, extracted to disk.

• A license file matching the DeviceID of the license server computer. The .cry file is the actual license file; the .lst file is only a license list in readable format.

Decide which type of installation or installations you will need to perform. See Installation Scenarios.

Hull Port Numbers

Make sure that a firewall on the server or on workstations is not blocking access to any of the ports used by CADMATIC Hull. If the installation program finds ports to be blocked, it attempts to configure the firewall to open those ports, but this automatic configuration is not always possible.

CADMATIC Hull uses port numbers in the range of 50000 to 50500 in interprocess communication for the following processes:

• Hull Server

• Nupas Napa link

• Surface Intersection Server

• Hull Clone in TCP mode.
