Text fields are text items placed in the part label models with the "Draw" -> "Text/Dimensions" -> "Text" function in 2D-Contek and/or 3D-Contek.
When a part label is being placed, the character height, ratio, position and angle of the text fields will be those as used in the part label model. Since the part label will be positioned in different positions and rotations the best justification of the text is "Mid Middle" and the "Char Height" has to be set relative to the model because this will be multiplied with the enlargement factor as defined in the appropriate text properties group. The color of the text fields will be changed into the pen 2 setting of the appropriate text properties group.
Tip: To get a better result when the part label is being mirrored, please add a second empty line to an annotation which consists of only one text line.
Next to the logistical database fields the following text fields can be added to the part label models either by their own or combined with others:
Note: Only text fields between '%' signs will be replaced with the actual value of the text field for the item to be labeled. All other text fields will be considered as 'normal' text. This also applies to text which is placed before (prefix) and after (postfix) a field name in the same text field.
Tip: Define the text fields which are often used in the part labels as a "Standard Free Text" possibly with their prefix and postfix included

- The exact type indication and position of the dimensions of the profile in the text field can be set within the %ncgnorms%\description\prfname.cfg file.
- These are the values as defined in the typefile of the bracket, see for more information the 'Norms Manual'
- These are the same values as 2 with the exception that when these two fields are both present only one of them will be displayed when the two values are the same. The other field will then be omitted. Because of this last effect, the best justification to be used for these text fields is 'right bottom' or 'left bottom'.
- The %BrDimText% can only be used in the ps_f_<name>.mod instance and will only be substituted with the DimensionText value if this is not equal to 'none', see for more information the 'Norms Manual'.
- When the %FlSize% is included in a part label model for a bracket, it will only appear in the actual part label when the bracket to be labeled really has a flange. In other cases the %FlSize% and all text in front of and behind this field up-to the nearest space will be omitted from the annotation line in the part label.
