Endcodes
The endcodes.dat file defines how NAPA Steel stiffener endcodes are converted to CADMATIC Hull profile endtypes. In NAPA Steel the quantity endcode has to be defined for stiffeners.
These settings can be made in System Management > Import/Export > NAPA Steel > Connection Settings > Endtype Conversion.
Syntax for file content:
NAPA identifier |
CADMATIC Hull endcode type number (1st and 2nd endtype) |
R-var |
value |
R-var |
value |
|
CADMATIC Hull endcode type number (3rd and 4th endtype) |
R-var |

File content example:
Current NAPA endcuts and their endcodes:
NAPA endcut | NAPA endcode |
---|---|
NONE | 0000 |
BRACKET | 1100 |
LUGEND | 1200 |
SNIPED | 1300 |
FLANGEBEVEL | 1400 |
Each endcode requires two lines.
- The first line consists of the 4 digit NAPA Steel endcode, followed by the type number for the CADMATIC Hull endtype for the 1st or 2nd endtype. After that (optionally) follow the R-variables and their values.
- The second line consists of the CADMATIC Hull endtype for the 3rd or 4thd endtype (optionally) followed by the R-variables and their values.

Line 1 | 0000 3 |
Line 2 | 3 |
Result | If no NAPA endcut is defined (NAPA endcode NONE), the Hull endtype 3 (endtype J) for both endtypes 1 or 2, and endtypes 3 or 4. |
Note: | Numerical expressions and with mathematical operators + - * / cannot be applied in endcuts to endtypes conversions. This means that calculations cannot be performed. See Numerical expressions in NAPA Steel connection settings. |
Note: If no conversion is defined for a NAPA endcut/endcode, the default Hull endtype value of 0 (endtype A) is used.
