Customizing weld symbols
The weld symbols available for selection by the user can be customized by the system administrator. Weld symbols are stored by the system as Hull Model (.mod) files. These files are normally stored within the location specified in System Management > Projects > Properties > Settings > Settings. However, weld symbols are stored under <project>\norms\cvar\weld instead. The symbols which are available for selection by the users from all of those present in the directory are specified in System Management > Tools > Modify Icons. This function also allows system administrators to define the icon which represents the weld symbols in the menus.
These Hull Model files can be modified in the 2D-Contek, 3D-Contek, Shell and System Management applications. To modify these models, the system administrator should import a model using Hull > Import > Hull model or open a blank drawing to create a new model. Multiple models can be imported and used to form a different model as well. Next, the tools found under the Draw tab can be used to make changes to the model. Once the model is complete, then it should be exported as a Hull Model file using Hull > Export > Hull model.
