Weld features
Weld Manager recognizes some special kind of welds:
1. Snipe
2. Stopper
3. Clearance
These weld features require special treatment by the welder or welding robots. Snipes are detected from the plate topology. Cutouts can be defined to be weld stoppers or clearances using their type files, see Norms type files. Checking the size of the cutout in the type file allows the user to use the same cutout type file both for a regular cutout and for a weld stopper or clearance. Information about applying bevels to these features can be found under Bevels on welding, corner and draining holes.
The settings for handling the weld features is defined in the Weld features configuration in the Weld Manager configuration file.
