Define the start point

You can start routing a pipe in different ways, depending on the context:

  • Use cursor navigation commands to select the starting point from a suitable free location in the design area.

  • Use a connecting command to connect to a connection node in an existing pipe. See Connect pipes.

    • Use the Join (J) command to connect to the end of a pipe, so that after routing the existing pipe and the new pipe are joined to form a single pipe.

    • Use the Connect (P) command to connect to the end of an existing pipe without joining the new pipe to it. This allows you to select the System and pipeline to use for the new pipe.

  • Use the Create branch (T) command to make a branch to an existing pipe.
