Pipelines

To enable the designers to route pipelines in the 3D model, the project administrator must first prepare the required pipeline definitions in the project environment.

A pipeline definition specifies, for example, which piping and insulation specifications can be used, whether out-of-spec piping parts are allowed, and which attributes the routed pipes should have.

Pipeline definitions can be managed through various locations, including the following:

• File > Environment > Systems and Lines

• File > Environment > All Library and Project > [project] > Pipelines

• The Model Tree pane of Plant Modeller—see Managing tree items

• The Insert tab of P&ID

The project environment can have one or several Systems for pipelines.
