Duct part design rules for gaskets
In a duct part design rule for duct gaskets, the project administrator can specify which duct sizes will automatically receive a given type of gasket. The other requirements for using duct gaskets are described in Gaskets for duct parts.

Title – Enter a descriptive name for the duct part design rule.

Plate – This setting does not affect duct gaskets.

Dimensioning – This setting does not affect duct gaskets.
Create the required number of size range rules with the following settings.
Rule below will be applied if…

Min size / Max size – Specify the size range within which the routed duct should fall for the gasket to be selected. The duct's size is measured from either its width of height, whichever is greater.
Materials used in gasket

Gasket type – Select the gasket type: Rope, Tape, or Piece.

Gasket – Select the catalog part size of the gasket. The nominal size you select does not matter—it will be overridden by the actual size of the gasket once inserted into the 3D model.

Revolutions – Specify the number of wraps/turns of rope that will be needed around the connection that the rope gasket is sealing.
