Description

Alt+1

Move box forward

Moves the view box of the active view forward along the view direction by one step. Step length is the same as when arrow keys are used to move the cursor—see Define cursor movement distance.

Alt+2

Move box backward

Moves the view box of the active view backward along the view direction by one step. Step length is the same as when arrow keys are used to move the cursor.

Alt+3

Move viewpoint to current location

Moves the view box in the view direction so that current cursor position will be in the view front plane. Only the depth coordinate (w) in the view gets changed, u and v coordinates will be the same as before.

Alt+Shift+3

Move box center to current plane

Moves the view box to current location so that its depth matches current location. This command "glides" the view box along the projection line.

Shift+Ctrl+3

Move box center to current location

The difference between Alt+Shift+3 and Shift+Ctrl+3 is that the first one "glides" the view box along the projection line but the latter command may move the view box in all three directions.

Note: This command assumes that the view projection aligns symmetrically with the line parallel to the view direction and passing through the current viewpoint. The point along this line, located halfway from the viewpoint to the depth, is the point that gets relocated to the current location.

If the active view has a filter box specified, then also the filter box gets set so that its center will be at the cursor position.

Shift+1

Decrease view depth

Decreases the view depth with the amount of the default step, so step length is the same as when arrow keys are used to move the cursor. The viewpoint is not changed.

Shift+2

Increase view depth

Increases the view depth with the amount of the default step, so step length is the same as when arrow keys are used to move the cursor. The viewpoint is not changed.

Shift+3

Get view depth from current location

Moves the view box in view direction so that the current cursor position will be in the view front plane. Only the depth coordinate (w) in the view gets changed, u and v coordinates will be the same as before.

Alt+V

Make view to cover box

Sets the view limits so that they define the same area as the current filter box.

Shift+4

Edit box

Opens the Edit Filter Box dialog for adjusting the filter box visually. See Filter box.

Ctrl+5

Get box limit from current location

Opens a graphical tool where the user can select the direction in which to create the filter box, starting from the current cursor position. In views that are parallel to a main axis the selection tool is square-shaped and in axonometric views it is a cube. See Filter box.
