Diagram tutorial
This tutorial provides a step-by-step introduction to using the CADMATIC P&ID application. You will be guided through the process of designing a complete diagram, plotting it on paper, and generating component lists and other data. The tutorial uses a simple example diagram to demonstrate the program's capabilities and to show how to perform common design tasks. Before starting, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with the User interface.

Prerequisites
Before starting this tutorial, ask your administrator to perform the following actions:

Install the CADMATIC Example Project.

Install the P&ID application with integration to Plant Modeller.

Create the P&ID SQL database before starting the P&ID application.

Create DWG-compatible drawing sheets or approve start-up scripts for the project, to have sheets in the P&ID application.

Create a workspace for you in the example project.

Add the area for the P&ID application to your workspace.
