Create a new diagram

Create a new diagram document.

Prerequisites

• The administrator has approved the sheets for diagrams for use in the project in Project Environment > [library] > Diagram > Startup Scripts.

  

Do the following:

1. Select File > New.

   

2. Select the cad_a3 sheet.

3. Click Done.

4. For Name, enter My_First_Diagram.

5. For Sheet, select cad_a3.

   

6. Click OK. The diagram document opens.

   The startup script you selected (cad_a3) sets up the sheet size, the title box, the borderlines, and the grid. These characteristics are all customizable, and a new title box should be made for your company at the least. (Normally, the Project Administrator handles this.)

   

7. You can save the new diagram to your computer or to COS.

   You should save your diagrams to COS every time you close the program:

   1. Select File > Manage Diagrams > All Diagrams > All.

   2. Right-click the diagram you want to save, in this case My_First_Diagram.

   3. Select Save to COS Database.
