Draw automatic hatches

BHATCH

Draw a hatch automatically to an enclosed area. The command will automatically find an enclosed area around a user-specified point. The area you want to hatch must be AN ENCLOSED AREA bounded by lines, polylines, arcs, circles, ellipses, symbols or splines.

The program will look for the bounding object to the left of the definition point and will fix on the first object it found.

You can also modify a hatch object with the Modify function.

Do the following:

  1. Enter the keyword BHATCH.

  2. Select hatch pattern.

  3. Enter pattern, scale and angle.

  4. Enter a point inside the area you want to hatch and press Enter.

  5. Define islands by entering a point to the right of the object.

  6. Press Enter.

Defining a hole to a hatch

If the defined area contains objects you want to exclude from the hatch, you must enter a point on their right side.

You can define the available hatch pattern definition files (separated by a semicolon) in the HPFILE system variable.
