Manage viewports
Tools tab > Layout group > Viewports |
A layout displays the design that you have drawn in the design mode or a part of it – to be able to display these views, create a viewport in the layout. You can edit the display in the viewport by zooming and panning.
You can create several viewports in one layout, and display different parts of the drawing in different scales.

You can also create viewports by using the Set drawing area function. For more information, see Set and edit drawing area.
When you create a layout viewport for the first time, the program scales it to display the same view as in the design mode. The following new viewports adopt the zoom scale from the previous viewport.
You can set the relative scale of the viewport by zooming. You can create up to 64 viewports in one layout. If you create more than that, the program does not display some of them but does print them all.
Show or hide the contents of viewports
You can show or hide the contents of a viewport. Select the print mode before this command.
Do the following:
-
Select Viewports > Show contents or Hide contents.

Select the viewport whose contents you want to show or hide. You can select several viewports.

-
Draw an enclosed object in the shape that you want the viewport to be.

Select Viewports > Clip.
