You can also open product model management via the Product models project tree by right-clicking the project name and selecting Product model management.
With product models, it is possible to set a variety of information for devices, such as symbols, technical data, manufacturer, model, position, etc. By assigning project models for devices you can modify the same data easily for all devices using that product model. In the Product model management dialog, you can add product models to projects and transfer them between different databases. Function uses generic management tool interface.
Databases
- Standard databases – Holds default product models that cannot be edited and will be overwritten in program update.
- Shared databases – User defined product models, can be used in all projects.
- Other project – Product models from another project. Source project database (EDBProject.mdb) can be selected with Select other project button.
Packages
Product models can be grouped to packages to more efficiently manage them. For more information on the packages, see Management tool.
Project data
- Project product models – Includes product models currently in project.
- Project default product models – Includes default project product models that are common to all projects.
