Hierarchy binding
Hierarchy binding is an abstract concept in the same way as a circuit. Hierarchy binding can describe the connection of a circuit or location and hence a certain device with the process, regardless of the physical location of the device.
Hierarchy binding consists of process, section and subsection. These can appear in the hierarchy freely, and it is not compulsory to use all levels.
Circuits and locations can be connected with hierarchy binding through processes and sections. Unconnected circuits and locations are listed in their own gray folders.
In addition to the circuit, also the device identifier appears in the Full ID system; therefore editing devices, for example as a subdevice inside another device affects also the device’s location and full ID.

You can create new hierarchy bindings to your projects.
For hierarchy bindings, you can then add new sections, subsections, circuits, and locations:
