Cable markings

Electrical tab > Projects group > Project settings

In the Cable markings section, define settings related to cable markings.

• Visibility of Type in drawing – Select when to mark the cable type information in the cable marking: always, never, or according to the symbol's attribute visibility.

  • When you select the According to visibility setting of symbol's attribute option, you can select to hide the cable type information in the Cable and Draw cable termination dialogs and in the Wiring window when drawing a cable.

  • When you select Always visible or Not visible, the option to hide the cable type information in the Cable and Draw cable termination dialogs and in the Wiring window when drawing a cable is disabled.

• Default symbol of cable markings – Select the default symbol for cable markings with the button. When drawing a cable, you can select whether to use the default symbol for the cable mark.

• Cable type-information – Select what is shown as type information for cables: Type, Type 2, Position or Description.

• Default symbol of cable package markings – Select the default symbol for cable package markings with the button. When drawing a cable package, you can select whether to use the default symbol for the cable mark.

• Cable package type-information – Select what is shown as type information for cable packages: Type, Type 2, Position or Description.
