Remove Temporary Files
Select if the temporary files that are generated by various functions are deleted after quitting the function. Disabled by default (temporary files are not deleted when quitting a function).
If this setting is set to Enabled, all temporary plotting files (.plo, .out and .pcl) in a block are removed when a block is opened using the File > Open Block function.
Confirmation On Blank Drawing
When this setting is set to Enabled (default), a confirmation dialog is shown when a drawing is removed from the screen using the File > New > Blank Drawing menu function, or the Blank Drawing toolbar icon.
The confirmation dialog allows the user to save the drawing before the contents of the screen are cleared.
Insert Detail After Creation
Select if a detail is inserted automatically after it is created, No (default) or Yes.
Update Blocks From Toolbar
The Update Drawing function in the toolbar can be set to update the current view in one of two different ways:
- Update Only the active block (default).
- Update All blocks, drawn and dashed.
Function Key Definition
When set to Use program defaults (default), the standard function key settings are used.
When set to User defined, it is possible for each user to specify their own function key settings. This can be done in Tools > Settings > User Interface > Keyboard Shortcuts > Function Keys (applications other than System Management), and Extra > User Interface > Function Keys (System Management application).
Default Solid/Dash Blocks
Define how block groups are presented, solid or dashed:
- All groups solid
- All groups dashed
- Current group solid, others dashed
- Current group solid
- Current group dashed (default)
Building Block Overview - Modify
By default, only users who have full access to System Management (for more information, see Accessing System Management) can modify the building block overview. In applications other than System Management, the Building Block Overview function can only be used to view (not modify) the block definitions.
By selecting In All Applications, you can allow modifications in all applications. Any user can then add and modify block definitions in a block that has been checked out to their site.
Note: If a block has been set to 'Read-Only' in System Management > Projects > Building Block Overview, the block remains in read-only mode until it is changed from there. It also overrides this setting being set to In All Applications.
