Setting up the Import

Each CADMATIC Hull user who wants to import equipment from the Outfitting library needs to perform the following steps.

1. Make sure that CADMATIC Outfitting Hull Agent is running on the local machine.

2. In System Management > Projects > Outfitting > Equipment > Settings > Hull Agent Request Directory, enable the use of equipment by defining the directory. By default, this directory is not set (it is empty), and equipment is disabled.

3. In System Management > Projects > Outfitting > Presentation > Settings > Hull Agent Request Directory, define the directory that is used to communicate with the Hull Agent when retrieving views. This is the directory that is defined as "request directory" for the Hull Agent in question.

4. In System Management, notify the Hull Agent of the change in presentation settings by selecting Projects > Outfitting > Presentation > Send Hull Agent Settings.
   

5. In System Management > Outfitting > Equipment > Settings > Hull Agent Request Directory, define the directory that is used to communicate with the Hull Agent when using the equipment library. This is the directory that is defined as “request directory” for the Hull Agent in question.

6. In System Management, notify the Hull Agent of the change in equipment settings by selecting Projects > Outfitting > Equipment > Send Hull Agent Settings.

7. If decentral norms directories are used, set an "update norms" signal for workstations that use a decentral norms directory, in System Management > Extra > Norms Directory.

8. In 3D-Contek, open a view.
