CADMATIC License Server installation
This guide provides information to administrators who install and manage CADMATIC License Server instances for version 2.0 or later.
CADMATIC License Server is a Windows service that runs on a host computer and processes license requests that it receives from client computers.
Installing the license server requires an activation key provided by Cadmatic.
A single license server can be used to allocate licenses to all CADMATIC products, except to CADMATIC eGo and CADMATIC Construction Management products. One user can open several CADMATIC Hull, CADMATIC Plant Modeller, CADMATIC Building, CADMATIC Draw, CADMATIC Electrical, or CADMATIC HVAC instances with one license.
Note: CADMATIC Building, CADMATIC Draw, CADMATIC Electrical, and CADMATIC HVAC applications only need license server installation when network licenses are used.
Note: Only version 2024T3 and newer of CADMATIC Building, CADMATIC Draw, CADMATIC Electrical, and CADMATIC HVAC are compatible with CADMATIC License Server.
When installing a new CADMATIC release, it is recommended for the license server to be upgraded at the same time. The latest license server version is always backward-compatible with recent CADMATIC product versions.
