Min. Bending Radius For Marking
Set the minimum bending radius to get a marking on a part. If the bend radius is larger than the value set here, the start and end point of the radius are marked on the part. If the bend radius is smaller than the value set here, it will not be marked.
The type of marking is defined with the Bending Radius Marking Type setting. Note that setting Bending Radius Marking Type to other than the default One line will have no effect unless Min. Bending Radius For Marking is set to more than zero.
Bending Radius Marking Type
Select the type of marking the bending radius. The following types can be used:
- One line (default) – One marking line is used.
- Two lines – Two marking lines are used; one at the start point and one at the end point of the radius.
- Three lines – Three marking lines are used; one normal marking line, and one at the start point, and one at the end point of the radius.
- Two lines with connection line – Two marking lines and a connection line are used; one line at the start point, one at the end point of the radius, and a connection line perpendicular to the middle of the bend line from start point to end point of the radius.
- Three lines with connection line – Three marking lines and a connection line are used; one normal marking line, one line at the start point, one at the end point of the radius, and a connection line perpendicular to the middle of the bend line from start point to end point of the radius.
This setting is applicable only for bend radii larger than the value set in Min. Bending Radius For Marking, which must be bigger than zero, or any other than the default value One line will have no effect.
Knuckle Description
Define the description for a knuckle. The description can be composed of free text and the following fields:
- Knuckle radius
- Knuckle angle
-
Knuckle side – This field is filled with the value defined with the Knuckle Direction Text setting.
- Knuckle text – This field is filled with the value defined with the Knuckle Text setting.
See also Editing field formats in the Managing Production Information Administrator's Guide.
Knuckle Text
Define a text specific to the amount of knuckle markings.
- For one knuckle marking line, the first text is used.
- For more than one knuckle marking line, the second text is used.
This setting can be used to add a text that indicates the method of manufacturing, for example.
The amount of marking lines can be set with the Bending Radius Marking Type setting.
Note that a connection line does not count as knuckle marking line.
The resulting text is used in the Knuckle Description setting.
Knuckle Direction Text
Set the text used to indicate this side and the other side for marking texts of knuckles. This setting can be disabled by entering off.
Show Knuckle Text
Normally the angle of a knuckle is placed along the knuckle line automatically. This can be disabled with this setting. It is also possible to define a text.
Show 180 Degrees Knuckle text
Add a text along a knuckle of 180 degrees. This is useful for Jumbo Panels.
Configuration Table
Define the information needed for flange and knuckle creation.
Specify the minimum and maximum plate thickness, inner radius (bend radius), mould opening, and identification code.
See Determining the neutral line and plate length for detailed information.
Bending Radius
Define the bending information needed for flange and knuckle creation.
Specify the knuckle angle and bending coefficient.
See Settings in this topic for detailed information.
Bending, Neutral Line
Define the bending information needed for flange and knuckle creation.
Specify the thickness factor and correction factor. If the thickness factor multiplied with the thickness is equal to or larger than the lower die, the correction factor is used.
See Settings in this topic for detailed information.
Rectangle Total Knuckle Length
If multiple knuckle lengths are located so that they could be connected to one another, and the rectangle lies between the two lines, the lines are handled separately. In other case the largest distance from the end of one line to the end of the other line is used as knuckle length.
The largest knuckle length found is stored.
