Robot Input Data

In the manufacturing process, profile robots are regularly used to cut profiles. The robots are controlled by robot input files which contain the cutting data. A robot input file should be generated for each profile.

The system generates the robot input files according to a robot layout file which is used as a 'template' for the generated robot input files. The contents of a robot layout file depends on the system which used to control the cutting robot. The robot systems supported by the CADMATIC Hull software include ARAC, TTS, REIS, and OXYTECHNIK.

The robot input files can be created with the Create Production Information function.

To create the robot input files, select With robot files or Only robot files option (1) and the desired robot file layout (2) in the Create Production Information dialog.

If there are no robot file layouts available, None is selected automatically in the second drop-down menu, and Without robot files in the first. Robot files are not generated in this case.

Also, either Profile list or Sketches must be selected. To generate robot input files also for bent profiles, Include bent profiles must be selected.

The generated robot files can be viewed either in the profile list or sketches result window. See Viewing Robot Data and Robot Data for more information.

See The Create Production Information function for more information on creating the production information.
